If you have a desire to serve God and develop your musical gifts, we want to help you find a place of service at First Presbyterian Church. Our diverse offerings include opportunities for children, youth and adults. If you have questions about which music program might be right for you or a member of your family, please contact the church for more information.
Travis Miller, choir director, and Gayle Holder, organist, invite anyone who enjoys singing to join the adult choir at First Presbyterian. Participants need not be music readers to participate, and all ages from teens to those in their golden years are welcome. Choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings at 5:45. In addition to leading hymns and singing anthems during Sunday worship services, other activities of the adult choir include special programs for Advent and Easter and joining with other choirs in the community for choral presentations.
Dr. Joan Lester organized a handbell choir May 24, 2014. The intergenerational group ranges from school students to senior citizens and all ages in between. Performances are frequently given for the congregation during worship services.
Children’s Choir
In the past, Dr. Lester has lead a young children’s choir for preschool through fourth grade students. For those children who are interested, please contact Dr. Lester.
