December 17, 2017 3rd Sunday of Advent
Old Testament Isaiah 61: 1-4
New Testament John 1: 19-28
Sermon Title “Do You See Him?”
Message Theme Part 2 of 2. John the Baptist tells the Pharisees that Jesus is present but they do not see him because they do not know him. Today, Jesus is also present during the Advent season. Sadly, many in the world do not see him either, as they do not know him. We must work to spotlight Jesus among us.
December 24, 2017 4th Sunday of Advent
Psalm Psalm 96
Old Testament Isaiah 9: 2-7
New Testament Luke 2: 1-7
Sermon Title “A Less-Than-Grand Entrance”
Message Theme While it would be fitting for the Son of God to be born in great comfort and care, the reality is that the birth occurred in the most difficult of circumstances. With that meek and humble beginning to life, Jesus gives his first example of how life it to be approached.
